Confirmed Keynote Address
H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister, State of Qatar
Euromoney Conferences will return to Doha on 6-7 December for the fifth Euromoney Qatar Conference. We’ll be giving participants and delegates a unique opportunity to gain valuable insight on the current economic, financial and digital opportunities in Qatar.
Co-hosted with the Qatar Central Bank, the conference will open with an official keynote address from the Prime Minister, H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani. The Minister of Finance, H.E. Ali Shareef Al-Emadi, will also deliver a keynote speech at the conference and for the first time ever His Excellency will participate in a live one-on-one interview on stage.
The theme for the Euromoney Qatar Conference 2016 is Building a new financial ecosystem. The first day will see discussions on the current challenges in the geopolitical outlook and what this means for GCC integration, the new US presidency and its effects on the Gulf, public spending, the liquidity challenge, and debt market development.
Day two will kick off with a panel discussing asset and wealth management, followed by a dedicated panel on SMEs, technology and innovation, highlighting the Qatari strategy, the government role in the private sector and the lessons Qatar can learn from the SME experience in countries both inside and outside the GCC.
The conference will close with an exploration of Qatar’s Digital Ecosystem. Why does Qatar need to digitize? Who will finance the new ecosystem? And what role can international partners play?
Delegates will have an opportunity to hear from and discuss these topics with both Qatari experts and international speakers, as the fully interactive event will be open to questions and feedback from all participants over the two days.
We look forward to seeing you in Doha later in the year for what has become an unmissable annual event in Qatar.
