EuroHedge Summit 2008

The top hedge fund managers and investors will join together for the 2008 EuroHedge Summit on 16-17 April to debate the challenges for the industry in what promises to be a tough year.

An array of leading lights in the hedge fund industry will feature in the top-drawer speaker line-up at the annual EuroHedge Summit, to be held in Paris in mid-April.

Taking place at its traditional venue at the magnificent Palais de la Bourse in the heart of the French capital on 16-17 April, the two-day event will bring together many of the best-known and most sought-after hedge fund managers and investors to debate the many changes and challenges facing the industry in what is likely to be a tough year.

Now in its fifth year, the EuroHedge Summit has become established as the big annual European-based event in the international hedge fund calendar – providing a high-level forum for discussion and networking. Last year more than 800 delegates attended the event and we expect a similarly large and high-quality attendance this year.

Under the overall theme of 'Strategies for Changing Markets', speakers and panellists will address the outlook for the industry and the changing opportunity set across the major strategy areas in the wake of the credit crunch and the widespread global economic, financial and market instability.

Among the 25 or so top names that are already confirmed as participants are Paul Ruddock and William de Winton of Lansdowne, Michael Hintze of CQS, Gavyn Davies of Fulcrum, Ian Plenderleith of Brevan Howard, Anthony Todd of Aspect, Jonathan Hiscock of GSA, Tom Loeb of Mellon Capital and Eric Halet of Algebris.

As previously announced in the November/December issue of EuroHedge, the three keynote speakers at the Summit this year will be Ron Beller of Peloton, Philippe Jabre of Jabre Capital and Greg Coffey of GLG.
