The fifth annual Euromoney Lebanon Conference took place in Beirut on Tuesday 25 June 2019.
This year we focused our attention on the shape of the financial future in light of the tech revolution. We had a multitude of tech experts discussing topics such as digital transformation, blockchain, AI, cybersecurity and many more, with the leading policy makers of Lebanon to ascertain what the future holds for Lebanon- is there space for both banks and digital banking?
Lebanon is a unique country – with huge opportunities and strengths – but also an over looming debt challenge to take into consideration. Each of our discussions at the event were designed to explore if tech can better aid Lebanon. We discussed the opportunities tech could bring the banks of Lebanon, and whether digital banking should be viewed as a competitor to traditional banking or an evolutionary step in the right direction.
