Technical Adviser charged with Financial Matters

Technical adviser to the Minister of Economy and Finance, charged with financial matters, Drissa Koné is a chartered accountant, holding a master of advanced studies in applied management sciences specialising in accountancy, control and finance from University of Douala, Cameroon, and a master of arts in management and organisation of business management and organisation from ESC (École Supérieure de Commerce) in Pau, France.
At a national level, Drissa Koné is also a member of the National Accounting Council and the president of the scientific committee of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Ivory Coast, responsible for the amalgamation of tables.
At a regional level, Mr Koné is currently the President of the West African Accountants Council, the main accounting standard-setting body for the eight WAEMU countries. He has also been recruited as a World Bank technical expert and technical advisor to the permanent secretary of OHADA (Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa), within the framework of the investment climate improvement programme for the 17 member countries.
At an international level, Drissa has been a national consultant to UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development)/ISAR (International Standards of Accounting and Reporting), and since 2010 has participated in various sessions of the United Nations in Geneva, focusing on strengthening the quality of financial information needed to attract foreign investment in the countries.
