Rudolph Bella is vice president of Emerging Capital Partners (ECP) in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. Having raised over $2.7 billion for investment, ECP is a leading private equity manager focused exclusively on Africa. ECP has six offices across Africa and over fifteen years of investing experience, having made over 60 investments and nearly 40 exits with operations in over 40 countries on the continent.

Before joining ECP in 2014, Mr Bella was chief financial officer of African Industrial Services Group, a Pan-African company specialised in industrial supply, foundry, and metallurgy in West Africa, where he facilitated the negotiations and execution of a sale of a minority stake to a private equity firm. Mr Bella began his career in 1999 at KPMG’s financial services department in Paris. There, as a manager, he executed various assignments for numerous corporate clients, including the provision of fairness opinions and acquisition due diligence. In 2004, he joined Alink Telecom International, a Pan-African telecommunications operator, where he monitored the turnaround of the company and participated in the sale of its assets as chief financial officer. Among his various assignments for ECP, Mr Bella was seconded to Eranove as corporate finance director, helping the management on equity financing to foster the company’s regional growth.

Mr Bella graduated from SKEMA Business School in Lille, France and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
