WANG Sheng is managing director, co-head of financial institutions group, China for HSBC. Sheng has led many of the most important transactions for Chinese financial institutions in international capital markets, including People's Bank of China (debut RMB bond offering in London), Agricultural Bank of China (debut offshore green bond), Bank of China (offshore preference share, offshore tier 2, green covered bond, silk road bond), Bank of Communications (offshore preference share and offshore tier 2), China Construction Bank (offshore preference share and offshore tier 2), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (offshore tier 2). Sheng is also responsible for leading HSBC's participation in the primary activities in China's onshore interbank bond market, and led the execution of some of the most important onshore transactions, including the debut SDR bond offering by world bank, the debut onshore green bond offering by New Development Bank, and the panda bond offering of Republic of Korea, British Columbia of Canada, and Poland. Sheng is a member of NAFMII's bond market expert commission. Sheng holds a masters and a bachelors degree from University of International Business and Economics and is a non-practicing member of China Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
