Ken Wei is a managing director and head of Asia Pacific ex-Japan fixed income syndicate. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for the full fixed income product suite in the region, both across G3 and local currency bond markets as well as loan primary business.  He has over 15 years’ experience in the capital markets, starting his career with Barclays in debt capital markets in 2002, focusing on financial institutions and bank capital. He joined the syndicate desk in 2005 and has over 12 years’ of experience in overseeing bond syndicate and executing transactions for Asian G3 bond issuance, for both public and private transactions.  Given his background in FIG, Ken Wei has extensive experience in structuring and marketing subordinated bank capital products (both Basel and Basel 3 compliant structure). He has direct involvement in over 500 international bond offerings across geography for sovereign, quasi-sovereign, banks and corporates.  Before joining Barclays, Ken Wei worked for the Singapore government, post-graduation in 1997.  Ken Wei holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and B Eng (1st Class) with Nanyang Technological University.
