The Spanish Capital Markets Forum was held on 29 May 2012 at the NH Eurobuilding, Madrid. It was a busy event with many delegates attending from all over Spain as well as from other countries across the globe. The attendees came to network, meet new contacts, and catch up with old friends. This well established annual gathering really has become the must attend event for anyone with an interest in Spain’s capital markets.
The delegates heard an opening keynote speech from Servaas Deroose, Deputy Director General, Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, European Commission, whose views on a new growth model for Spain set the scene perfectly for the rest of the days’ events. This was followed by four editorially driven panel discussions with elite speakers who covered topics such as the Spanish banking sector, Spain’s future in the Eurozone, and the Spanish capital markets. In addition to these sessions the conference offered sponsored workshops and a plenary interview. To view the final agenda click here. Against a backdrop of much uncertainty in the Spanish markets, the speakers took part in frank and open discussions which certainly captured the attention of the audience. It was a full, busy and interesting event this year which could not have been the case without the support of the conference sponsors. We would like to thank them:
