Giulio Favaretto

Portfolio Manager

Generali Investments

Giulio Favaretto is the portfolio manager at Generali Investments and started his career in 2002 at Euro Capital Structures in Dublin, a company set up with the main purpose of developing captive securitization transactions for the UniCredit and Fiat Groups. Subsequent to the consolidation of UniCredit with HypoVereinsbank he then moved to London in 2005 to work for the investment bank's structured finance division, mainly dealing with the arrangement of securitisation transactions for the banking group in relation to different asset classes. In 2007 he decided to take a new challenge and move to the asset management industry, joining Generali Investments Europe in Italy. He has since then worked as a portfolio manager, covering corporate bonds across international primary and secondary markets with a main focus on life captive mandates for Italian, Austrian and German Companies. In addition, Giulio has also been solely responsible since 2011 for the management of a third party, Sicav, explicitly dedicated to Covered Bonds, for which he has been awarded an AAA rating from Citywire in light of the multi-year outperformance versus the assigned benchmark.
