H.E. Mr Mohammed Al-Jadaan was appointed Minister of Finance of Saudi Arabia on 1 November 2016. Previously, His Excellency was the chairman of the board of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) of Saudi Arabia. Before this appointment, Mr Al-Jadaan was one of the founding partners of the Al-Jadaan and Partners Law Firm and is listed in Chambers and Partners 2004 to 2014 as a leading lawyer in corporate/commercial and the banking/finance practice areas in Saudi Arabia.  Mr Al-Jadaan has extensive experience in advising on all aspects of capital market transactions,  structuring, documenting and negotiating complex international project financings and providing counsel on corporate and commercial matters, including equity and debt public offering,  mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and shareholder agreements and matters pertaining to Islamic law and Islamic finance.  Mr Al-Jadaan has also represented corporate and commercial clients before a number of key courts and judicial committees in Saudi Arabia.  In addition, Mr Al-Jadaan was: a member of the advisory board of the Supreme Economic Council   (2009 to 2015); chairman of the board of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (2014 to 2015); member of the advisory committee of the Capital Market Authority (2013 to 2015); member of the lawyers' committee at the Riyadh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (2013 to 2015); member of the board of Morgan Stanley Saudi Arabia (2006 to 2012); and member of the audit committee of King Abdulaziz Endowment Ain Al-Aziziya (2010 to 2014).
