Pablo de Ramón-Laca was appointed head of funding and debt management at the Spanish Treasury in November 2013, a team he joined in September 2008. The funding and debt management department involves, among other tasks, devising and executing the Kingdom of Spain’s capital markets funding programme; marketing public debt with investors in Spain and in roadshows abroad; and supervising and regulating the Treasury's relationship with its twenty-three primary dealers in the bonos and letras markets. Before joining the Spanish Treasury, he worked as an economist in the Bank of England's Financial Crisis Management Department. Pablo holds a BA (Hons) degree in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Oxford, and an MSc in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
