Olaf Brugman is the head of sustainability of Rabobank's debt capital markets department, and responsible for the sustainable capital market solutions with environmental or social benefits, such as green bonds and social bonds. He is also a member of the executive committee of the Green Bond Principles and business expert of the Land Use standard development working group of the Climate Bond Initiative. He joined Rabobank in 2001 and has held various sustainability roles since then. Before joining Rabobank, he was a senior management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consultants and held academic research and teaching roles in business administration at several universities in the Netherlands. He holds a doctorate in business studies from Radboud University, and an MA in public management from Twente University. He is the former president of the Round Table on Responsible Soy, and he was the Rabobank’s representative in business advisory councils of FAO, OECD, and UN Global Compact on responsible finance and investing principles for food and agribusiness supply chains and land governance.
