Mr Stevens has over 25 years of operational and investment experience in Southeast Asia. He joined Leopard Capital in 2007 as a managing partner and played a key role in sourcing, evaluating, structuring, negotiating and managing the investments of Leopard Capital Fund in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. Previously Ken spent 10 years managing proprietary private equity investments in the Mekong Sub-region (including Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar) serving as chief financial officer, managing director, and board member. His operational experience includes financial management, property construction and management, project development, and service businesses. For the past four years, Mr Stevens has evaluated and developed a number of investment opportunities in Myanmar including deals in the power, telecom and agriculture sectors. He has developed a strong network of contacts with Myanmar companies and Myanmar based professionals. He advises a number of Myanmar companies regarding fund raising, selection of foreign partners and their plans to list on a regional or local Myanmar stock exchange. He served as head of equities research and was an investment banker at CLSA Securities in Thailand from 1992 to 1998. Mr Stevens holds a masters degree in international management from Thunderbird (Arizona, USA), and a bachelors degree from Cornell University. He is a CFA charter holder and is certified as a responsible officer by the Hong Kong Securities Commission. He is based in Bangkok.
