Jason Pellmar is based in Yangon, Myanmar leading International Finance Corporation’s business origination activities in Infrastructure and manufacturing, agribusiness and services. Jason committed IFC’s first infrastructure investment in Myanmar, a $40m convertible loan to Myanmar Industrial Port (MIP), the country’s leading container terminal, and he is leading the investment team closing the Myingyan IPP, a 225MW CCGT power plant in the Mandalay region, and the first IPP project in Myanmar to be awarded via a competitive bidding process. Before relocating to Yangon, Jason was based in Istanbul where he closed several landmark infrastructure transactions in Europe, Middle East and North Africa. Jason was the new business lead for power in Russia and the CIS. Before joining IFC, Jason underwrote and managed a global portfolio of energy assets at GE Energy Financial Services in Stamford, Connecticut. Before that, Jason was a financial adviser to sponsors and lenders on infrastructure projects in emerging markets with Taylor-DeJongh in Washington, DC. He holds a masters degree in International Finance and Russian & Eurasian studies from Johns Hopkins, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and is a Fulbright Scholar (St Petersburg, Russia).
