Mr Khaled Abdulrazzaq Al Khaled currently holds the position of vice chairman and chief executive officer of Boursa Kuwait; Kuwait’s stock exchange and the driving economic force of Kuwait. Mr Al Khaled was initially assigned in 2014, with more than twenty years of experience in business law and regulatory matters, and a strong focus on the commercial, investment and real estate sectors in Kuwait. He is also chairman of the board’s Corporate Governance Committee and the chairman of the board’s Executive Committee. Mr Al Khaled was closely involved in setting up the first operating model of Boursa Kuwait according to its approved strategy, which included developing the company’s governance and legal framework, in coordination with the CMA. He also played a major role in setting up the operational business plan, organisation structure, policies and procedures of core business functions and support functions. In April 2016, Boursa Kuwait assumed responsibility for the management of the Kuwait Stock Exchange, with Mr Al Khaled spearheading the transition of one of Kuwait’s primary governmental institutions, into an independent private company. In the public arena, he has previously served on Kuwait’s Municipality Council and the board of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). Mr Al Khaled holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Kuwait University and a master’s degree in International Business Law from the American University, Washington DC.
