David Wu joined corporate finance of ING in late 2011 to head its China M&A advisory businesses. Before the current position, David ran his own M&A boutique in Beijing for five years and before that, David was Lazard’s Beijing chief representative, and worked for BOCI and JP Morgan as well. Cross border M&A transactions David led or was involved include: advised GT Water on its sale to China Water Affairs; advised Bright Food on its acquisition of Italian olive oil company Salov; advised CIMC on its acquisition of Nordic offshore engineering company Bassoe Technologies; advised Asia Breweries on its sale to AB-Inbev; advised Wolters Kluwer on its acquisition of 1) SASGAS, a shanghai-based financial software company; 2) Medicom, a Chinese drug information provider; and 3) a minority stake in Haoyisheng, China’s leading doctor CME provider; advised Shenzhen Zona Transportation on its 49% equity sale to SMRT; advised KEMA on its acquisition of Beijing-based power consulting firm Sinopower; advised Pakistan Telecom’s sale to China Mobile; advised Shenzhen Public Transportation Group’s minority equity sale to Kowloon Bus; the privatization of US listed company Playcore; the sale of Olivetti’s US subsidiary. David was also involved the H-share IPO of AVIC II while he was with BOCI. David holds an MBA degree from Ross School of Business at University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and BA degree in english literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University.
