Adam Bothamley is global head of debt syndicate at HSBC. Located in London, he is responsible for HSBC’s DCM syndication business across the bank’s key underwriting centres in London, Hong Kong and New York. His responsibility includes the benchmark G3 currency business as well as global MTNs and local currency syndication. Adam joined HSBC in 2000 as an equity analyst before moving into DCM in 2004. He ran HSBC’s European FIG syndicate desk until 2012 when he took responsibility for the EMEA Debt Syndicate team, before stepping in to the global role in May 2015. Adam’s day to day coverage focus remains on the European FIG sector and on strategic transactions across the corporate and EM sectors. Adam received his BSc in economics from the University of Birmingham and is a CFA charterholder.
