Lubomir Mitov

Lubomir Mitov is chief economist for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Based in London, within UniCredit Bank AG, he is responsible for macroeconomic research covering Central and Eastern Europe. Mr Mitov joins the bank from the Institute of International Finance (IIF) in Washington DC where he was most recently chief economist for Emerging Europe. Before that, Lubomir served as senior economist at the World Bank Resident Mission in Sofia, Bulgaria, and at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of Bulgaria. Lubomir holds a PhD from Moscow State Institute of International Relations, and is fluent in English, Russian, German and Bulgarian. He has authored numerous studies and papers on economic issues in countries in transition.  As a highly respected economist for the CEE region, with a long and distinguished track-record, he is well known to CEE focused investors around the world for his experience, network and insights.
