Stefano Poli is president of Toshiba Mitsubishi Electric Corporation Asia. He is also secretary and past chairman of the EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC), board member of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), and vice president of the European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (EUROCHAM). He sits on the board of FFA Asia, Antaeus Investment, and is a member of Aspen Institute Italia Overseas Talent Community.

He started his career working for Italcementi/Cimentis Francais Group from 1993 until 1996 as a project leader and senior researcher within the company’s research and development division. From 1996 to 1999, he worked as a sales manager for the STET Group under ITALTEL, focusing on fixed line telecom equipment and network technology. In 1999, he started working under Pirelli Group’s Switzerland office as general sales manager focusing on Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. He later moved on to manage the joint venture telecom and energy business for Pirelli the following year.

In 2002, he was appointed chief executive officer of Pirelli Indonesia and in 2004, he took the responsibility of chief executive officer of South East Asia for Pirelli. Following a sale of Pirelli Group’s cables and systems division to Goldman Sachs in 2005, the group was renamed Prysmian and Stefano became its chief executive officer for Asia and group senior vice president. In 2011 he joined Continental Chemical Corporation Group as group chief executive officer and in 2012 he took the role of chief executive officer of Electric Power Systems.

Stefano received his degree in Materials Engineering from Trento University, Italy in 1993.
