Anna Stupnytska is global economist at Fidelity Worldwide Investment. She provides key economic insight to support our investment team, who manage multi-asset strategies on behalf of both institutional and retail clients. Anna brings a depth of knowledge and a detailed understanding of the macroeconomic dynamics that matter most to investors. Anna joined Fidelity from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where in the role of macroeconomist she focused on global macroeconomic themes, including the interplay between the developed and developing world. She had been part of the Goldman Sachs Asset Management team since 2010 and before that spent five years within the global macro and markets team in Goldman Sachs economics research. Over her career, as a leading member of the team famed for coining the concept of BRICs and the Next 11, Anna has developed a deep understanding of the economic transformation driven by the rise of large emerging markets that is today redefining the global investment landscape. Her City career began in 2004 in Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking Group. Anna holds a first class honours degree in economics from the University of Cambridge and a masters of philosophy in economics (with distinction) from the University of Oxford.
