The DaNa Facility

Peter Brimble has worked extensively in Central, South-East and North Asia on industrial efficiency, investment promotion, foreign direct investment, private sector development, and public policy issues. He has carried out research on industrial and technological development, FDI, and government policy issues across the region. In the past three decades, Peter has worked on private sector development, public-private partnerships, logistics and business development in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS).  Following terms with ADB resident missions in Cambodia from July 2010 to March 2014 and Myanmar from March 2014 to December 2016, Peter joined the DaNa Facility in December 2016 as team leader. The DaNa Facility supports inclusive economic growth through responsible and sustainable private sector development in Myanmar, by enhancing business growth, investment and trade across the country. The Facility is a £25 million UK Department for International Development (DFID) funded programme, initially running to December 2020.  Peter is an economics graduate of the London School of Economics, Georgetown University, the University of Sussex, and Johns Hopkins University.  His PhD thesis examined the productivity performance of Thai manufacturing firms.
