Kesara Manchusree was appointed The Stock Exchange of Thailand’s 12th president since 1 June 2014. She has built up strong expertise in the financial industry and capital market, based on her long service at SET and proven records of visionary leadership to develop SET at regional and international levels.  During the first two years of her leadership, Kesara has moved the organization toward greater product quality, compliance with international standards, while speeding up the “digital exchange”. To strengthen the capital market foundation and ensure benefits to the society at large, Kesara has actively promoted nationwide financial and investment literacy through SET’s activities, including savings campaign and training for financial professionals. She is fully committed to the sustainability development of SET and listed companies on multiple dimensions, covering environmental, corporate governance, and social responsibilities.  Kesara is also committed to connecting Thailand’s capital market with the CLMV, GMS as well as Asian countries by promoting investment opportunities for sustainable economic growth in the region. Kesara has recently (4 November 2016) been elected as a member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE)’s board of directors to serve a three-year directorship.  In recognition of her leadership and achievements, Kesara was awarded an Outstanding Women Awards 2016 from The National Council of Women of Thailand under The Royal Patronage of Her Majesty The Queen, and an Outstanding Women Leaders for Green Growth Awards 2016 from the Federation of Business and Professional Women Under The Royal Patronage of Her Majesty The Queen.  Kesara graduated with master of science in finance from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, USA after earning bachelor of arts in economics from Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand. She has joined SET since 2004.
