Arthur Simonson is currently residing in Jakarta, Indonesia holding a position as an infrastructure and project finance advisor in the South East Asia region for the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Technical Assistance.  Specifically, he is working to improve infrastructure development and expand the techniques used to finance infrastructure assets in Indonesia.  He is using the vast credit officer experience and knowledge of corporate, project, structured and public finance he garnered at Standard & Poor's to help expedite important infrastructure projects in Indonesia and the region.  Before joining the US Department of the Treasury, he had a 25-year career at Standard &Poor’s where his duties crossed analytic, managerial and business development functions.  At S&P, he held numerous roles in the corporate, structured, and public finance rating departments and has tremendous credit, financing, and capital markets experience.  He is an expert in global infrastructure, energy, and project finance and managed a staff of 32 rating professionals.  He spearheaded the Latin America Infrastructure Ratings growth initiative and was extremely successful in this endeavor.  Before Standard & Poor's, Arthur worked for Damson Oil Corporation and Electronic Data Systems.  He holds a BS in accounting from the University of Scranton and an MBA from PACE University in New York City.
