Euromoney's inaugural Nigeria Conference was a resounding success. More than 200 people attended to learn about the opportunities on offer, and to hear from investors who shared their experiences and views of this fast-growing, dynamic economy.

Dr. Shamsuddeen Usman, Minister of Finance, Federal Republic of Nigeria speech highlighted the key government strategies that will enhance competitiveness of the Nigerian economy and close the infrastructure gap. Hendrik du Toit, Chief Executive Officer, Investec Asset Management delivered an upbeat keynote speech which created an atmosphere of real excitement among the gathered international investors and business leaders. He discussed Nigeria’s financial market development and the wider African context, setting the scene perfectly for the opening panel and those that followed.
