Over 800 policy-makers, investors, financiers and multi-laterals came to the Euromoney Zimbabwe Investment Forum on March 8-9. In an event of global significance we welcome speakers from MDC-T, ZANU-PF and MDC-P - including Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai. In his opening address the African Development Bank President, Donald Kaberuka, strongly supported the case and the opportunity for greater foreign investment in Zimbabwe and launched the ADB Zimbabwe Infrastructure Report.
The packed conference heard from and debated with a wide variety of Zimbabwean and international panellists from sectors such as agriculture, mining, banking & tourism. At the close of the conference Jean-Louis Ekra, CEO of Afrexim Bank signed into life his bank's fund financing trade with Zimbabwe - a landmark transaction demonstrating the country's re-entry into the global financial system.
