The Euromoney/ECBC Covered Bond Congress

Date: 23 September 2010
Venue: Hallenstadion, Zurich, Switzerland
Download to Outlook

The Euromoney / ECBC Covered Bond Congress is the world’s premier Covered Bond event.

In 2010, the Congress’s eighth year, it moved to Zurich.  Once again it attracted the who’s who of the Covered Bond market: drawing issuers and investors from Canada to Korea, Australia to America.

On Thursday 23 September 2010 Euromoney and the ECBC welcomed 850 participants to the Hallenstadion, Zurich record attendance at a Covered Bond event. The night before the Congress the pre-Congress Sponsoring Banks’ Party attracted over 550 attendees.  Such figures firmly re-affirmed the Congress’s place as the globe’s foremost Covered Bond gathering.

Congress panels debated and discussed everything from the end of the ECB’s purchase programme to the emergence of new indigenous issuer and investor bases.  Speakers travelled from new markets and old to present their views on the future of the Covered Bond markets.

The event remains the place to meet everyone in the industry and, as always, is a must attend in the diaries of Covered Bond issuers, investors and intermediaries around the world.

Euromoney would like to thank the European Covered Bond Council, the sponsors, the speakers and the delegates for helping to make the Euromoney / ECBC Covered Bond Congress inarguably the largest Covered Bond event in the world.

“Who other than Euromoney can fill a sports stadium to discuss covered bonds?”
Nicolas Véron, Senior Fellow, Bruegel

“When it comes to Covered Bond market more than 850 attendees cannot be wrong. This is clearly the place to be!”
Fernando Cuesta, Head of Funding, Caja Madrid
