At a time when there wasn't a better time to be investing in the Australian debt markets. Australia proved to be the winning economy of the financial crises. It was one of the first countries to emerge from recession, with accelerated strong economic growth, falling unemployment rate and a soaring currency. The Federal Government and several State governments are expected to dramatically increase issuance over the coming years; culminating in the expectation that Australia’s debt markets will double in size to AUD 300 billion by 2014.
