This was the first time all key Australasian credits were present at one event in Asia.
Following the success of the inaugural Australian Debt Capital Markets Forum in London last September, the forum moved to Asia in Hong Kong where interest in the Australasian credit story is increasing rapidly.
The day started with keynote presentations by Neil Hyden, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Office of Financial Management, and Phil Combes, Treasurer of the New Zealand Debt Management Office, who updated investors with the latest economic data from Australia and New Zealand.
The forum went on to cover the Australasian sovereign and semi-sovereign debt markets, bank capital and funding, the securitisation markets, and the outlook on the Australian economy and its link with China.
