The GCC Private Banking Conference

“A very well structured conference, allowing for an honest and professional exchange of ideas, of the relevant topics facing the private banking industry and the Middle East region. The representation participating in the conference captured most of the key players in the field”
 - Muwaffak Bibi, Chairman, Middle East and North Africa, Citi Private Bank

Over 200 private bankers, wealth managers and family offices from the GCC region and abroad attended the first Euromoney GCC Private Banking conference on 7 March in Manama, Bahrain. Frank debates on the future of the private banking industry in the light of global and regional changes followed keynote presentations and speeches. We are grateful to our sponsors, speakers and partners who made this event a success.

The global financial services industry is in the throes of generational change. Facing funding pressure from one side, client dissatisfaction from the other and regulatory scrutiny as never before, private banking and wealth management business globally is deeply affected. The conference looked into important issues of taxation and regulation, how to manage risk and return in the current climate, and where the HNWI are looking to invest their fortunes next.

“It was a pleasure to attend the GCC Private Banking conference, and an opportunity to connect with key industry players in our market. The private banking space is changing rapidly, and it is always enriching to hear the perspectives of our competitors and different entities like family offices”
